How do I calculate "total outstanding shares"?

Your "total outstanding shares" includes any shares actually issued by the company. It does NOT include options granted but unexercised, shares reserved for your option pool, or convertible Notes/SAFEs that have been issued but not yet converted to equity.

A Company's "outstanding" shares is typically different from its "fully-diluted" shares as well as its "authorized" shares.
