How do I know when I need to file an annual report?

Each state has a different annual report process and schedule. This process and schedule may differ based on entity type even within a given state.

Typically, you should receive a notice from the state (through your registered agent in that state) when the annual reports are due and what the process is to file the annual report and pay any applicable state fees.

For example, the deadline for Delaware is March 1st for corporations, and June 1st for LLCs. The Delaware fees are different for the different entity types, as are the reporting requirements.

For clients that are on a Savvi state compliance plan, Savvi will notify you of any upcoming state filings and annual reports, and get those reports filed (once you have completed the Annual Report task for that state and paid the applicable state fees within the Savvi platform).
